My recent professional history includes, in addition to the exciting position as the CEO of Flexens, the renewables integration specialist, several successful projects and roles in my focus areas. My career also include successful operational positions in industrial companies (e.g. Helvar, Efore, Powernet) and a solid investment track record at the international private equity group 3i. I also built the Strategic and Commercial Intelligence team at KPMG Finland, successfully serving the local private equity industry.
In my operational roles I have turned around Powernet Oy to profit after a crisis period as interim CEO. During my period as CEO of Efore, the publicly listed power electronics manufacturer, the company doubled in size from € 30 million to € 60 million revenues, was turned around from a loss making position and became an international player (e.g. developing manufacturing in USA and setting up 100% owned manufacturing subsidiary in China) . At Helvar I developed a new major growing business area in the lighting electronics industry.
At 3i I specialised in growth capital investments in Finland. Key deals that I led include Merivaara Oy (the hospital equipment maker), Teamware Group Oy (a provider of collaboration software), Empower Oy (a provider of services to the energy sector), Halti Oy (outdoor clothing brand) and DNA Oy (telecomms operator). During this period I also served on the boards of Merivaara Oy, Empower Oy and DNA Oy.
